The Top 5 Steps to Be Healthy and Maximize Your Energy

In Health is Wealth by Paul Melella1 Comment

Health and Vitality is the result of feeding your body what it needs to flourish. Your body needs the proper energy to be productive throughout your daily life. Just like your car needs the right fuel to drive at its peak and it needs the oil changed every couple thousand miles…your body needs the same attention. Unfortunately, it is not just about what fuel you put in and the waste you get rid of.

Where Does Your Energy Come From?

Your energy comes from the cells in your body. Your health and the quality of your life will be determined by the quality of your cells. Current estimates indicate that there are over 75 trillion cells in your body. Cytology, the study of cells, reveals that the seemingly infinite number of cells is what keeps us energized and alive. Cells process the nourishment we need and void the waste within our body. With proper amounts of oxygen, each cell not only performs its own specialized function, but also produces adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to fuel the body. It only makes sense that maximizing your overall health requires that your body receives the optimum ingredients for ensuring health at a cellular level.

Cells need four things in order to survive:

1. Oxygen.

It is the source of all energy in the body. This energy, in turn, drives the metabolic processes in the body, such as absorption, elimination of wastes, respiration, circulation, and digestion. This is why deep breathing is so important to your health. In my past blog posts I discussed the importance of breathing and meditation to ensure a healthy lifestyle. You can go days without food or water… but try holding your breath and see how long you last. Oxygen is the most important thing our body needs to survive.

2. Water.

It is the most abundant substance in the body. Inside cells specifically, water is used for the breakdown of substances, as a medium for chemical reactions, and for the diffusion and osmosis of substances.

3. Proper nutrients.

I am a firm believer in fruits, vegetables, healthy fats and protein. Yes… certain carbs are okay (sweet potatoes, brown rice, and gluten free oatmeal) We must make sure we are eating cleansing foods… that will alkalize the body and avoid foods that will clog the body.

4. The ability to eliminate waste.

This is one specific aspect that most people don’t know about. We must complete some sort of cleanse or detoxification to our body in order to eliminate waste and toxins.

How Do We Know A Cell Needs Oxygen, Water, Proper Nutrients And The Ability To Eliminate Waste?

Dr. Otto Heinrich Warburg, 1931 Nobel Prize Winner, The Root Cause of Cancer

Dr. Otto Warburg discovered the root cause of cancer in 1923 and he received the Nobel Prize for doing so in 1931. Dr. Warburg was director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute (now Max Planck Institute) for cell physiology at Berlin. He investigated the metabolism of tumors and the respiration of cells, particularly cancer cells. Below are some direct quotes by Dr. Warburg during medical lectures where he was the keynote speaker:

“Cancerous tissues are acidic, whereas healthy tissues are alkaline. In his work, “The Metabolism of Tumours,” he demonstrated that all forms of cancer are characterized by two basic conditions: acidosis and hypoxia (lack of oxygen). Lack of oxygen and acidosis are two sides of the same coin: where you have one, you have the other.

“All normal cells have an absolute requirement for oxygen, but cancer cells can live without oxygen – a rule without exception.” – Dr. Otto Warburg

“Deprive a cell 35% of its oxygen for 48 hours and it may become cancerous.” – Dr. Otto Warburg.

Dr. Warburg has made it clear that the prime cause of cancer is oxygen deficiency (brought about by Toxemia). Dr Warburg discovered that cancer cells are anaerobic (do not breathe oxygen) and cannot survive in the presence of high levels of oxygen.

REMEMBER: Cancer cells cannot survive if they are provided with the proper oxygen, water, nutrients and detoxification

Amazing Oxygen Facts

“Lack of oxygen clearly plays a major role in causing cells to become cancerous.” -Dr. Harry Goldblatt, Journal of Experimental Medicine

“Cancer has only one prime cause. It is the replacement of normal oxygen respiration of the body’s cells by an anaerobic (ie., oxygen-deficient) cell respiration.” -Dr. Otto Warburg , Two-time Nobel Laureate Winner of the Nobel Prize for Cancer Research

“Each cell of your body is a complete living entity with its own metabolism – it needs a constant supply of oxygen and sufficient nourishment …” -Dr. Paavo Airola, Are You Confused?

“Cancer is a condition within the body where the oxidation has become so depleted that the body cells have degenerated beyond physiological control. Similarly, the true cause of allergy is lowered oxidation process within the body, causing the affected individual to be sensitive to foreign substances entering the body. Only when the oxidation mechanism is restored to its original highest state of efficiency can the sensitivity be eliminated.” -Dr. Wendell Hendricks, Hendricks Research Foundation

“Starved of oxygen the body will become ill, and if this persists it will die. I doubt if there is any argument about that.” -Dr. John Muntz, Nutritional Scientist

“In all serious disease states we find a concomitant low oxygen state…Low oxygen in the body tissues is a sure indicator for disease…Hypoxia, or lack of oxygen in the tissues, is the fundamental cause for all degenerative disease.” -Dr. Stephen Levine, Renowned Molecular Biologist Author, Oxygen Deficiency: A Concomitant to All Degenerative Illness

What Delivers Oxygen And Nutrients To The Body?

Blood transports oxygen and nutrients to the body’s tissues and eliminates waste.

What Is The Primary Source Of Eliminating Wastes?

The lymph system works closely with the circulatory system as it cleans and returns tissue fluid to the blood and destroys toxins that enter the body.

Your body has three more times lymph than blood.

Understanding The Lymphatic System And Why It Is Important?

The lymphatic system consists of organs, ducts, and nodes. It transports a watery clear fluid called lymph. This fluid distributes immune cells and other factors throughout the body. It also interacts with the blood circulatory system to drain fluid from cells and tissues.

The lymphatic system contains immune cells called lymphocytes, which protect the body against antigens (viruses, bacteria, etc.) that invade the body.  It is abnormal cells of this type that cause lymphoma.

Main Functions Of The Lymphatic System:

  • Collects and returns interstitial fluid, including plasma protein to the blood, and thus helps maintain fluid balance.
  • Defends the body against disease by producing lymphocytes.
  •  Absorbs lipids from the intestine and transport them to the blood.

So what can I do to help my Lymphatic system and keep my cells healthy?

    1. Eat plenty of green vegetables to get adequate chlorophyll to help purify your blood and lymph.
    2. Drink ½ your body weight in ounces of water
    3. Breathe deeply. Our bodies have three times more lymph fluid than blood, yet no organ to pump it. Your lymph system relies on the pumping action of deep breathing to help it transport toxins into the blood before they are detoxified by your liver. So breathe in that sweet smell of healing oxygen. Breathe out toxins.
    4. Buy a Rebounder. The best kind is rebounding on a mini trampoline, which can dramatically improve lymph flow, but stretching and aerobic exercise also work well.
    5. Forget the soda, trash the neon-colored sports drinks, and drop the fruit “juices” that are more sugar than fruit. These sugar color- and preservative beverages add to the already overburdened workload your lymph system must handle.

Tips from this article

  1. Practice deep breathing techniques including meditation, yoga or martial arts
  2. Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water per day
  3. Eat alkaline foods that will maintain a proper PH level in the body
  4. Complete a cleanse or help your Lymphatic system by rebounding in the morning
