How do you set a goal?

I love putting goals out to the universe and making things happen. The other day I was talking to a client and he was trying to figure out how to commit more time for running. I immediately said, “Sign up for a race!” Why? Because there is no better way to put you butt in gear than to commit to something and have a specific event to work for.

I just did this recently myself. My brother is a two time Ironman triathlete training for his third one this August. (Amazing, isn’t it!) He wants to improve his bike and signed up for a 100K mountain bike race. He’s not a mountain biker (yet), but never the less, he signed up for it. I immediately said, “I’ll do it with you”. I figure he’ll be in great condition, but not so good yet on technical riding. I could ride the technical, but need to improve my conditioning. Long story short, I signed up for the race on June 5th and am now training to improve my conditioning….so I could keep up with him .😂

I committed to the goal..as my partner Paul Melella says, declared it, and now I am in the works to make it happen.

Point is, if there is a goal you want, and it is important to you, commit to it now and you’ll make things happen to achieve it. It’s a beautiful thing.

Happy living!

BTW…if you wanted to support my brother’s Ironman fundraising campaign…here’s a link to make a donation. He’s a pretty cool guy, just don’t let him know I said so.😂😂😂
