Seeds possess great power.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to do a 10 mile training hike at Harriman State Park with my brother and Matt Tracy. We are raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and heading out to Oregon in May to hike in the Columbia River Gorge.
I have always been infatuated with nature and the power nature possesses. A small seed planted in the ground possesses enough power to break a rock in half. (This picture was taken this weekend on our hike.) All it needs is time and some essential resources to let it grow. (Sun, dirt, air, water)
I believe a parallel lies within our thoughts. The thoughts we have are like seeds we plant in our minds. If you give them time, nurture them, and give them the essential needs, they will
manifest into reality. A perfect example is my wife Kathy Berlow training for her Ironman. The seed has been planted, she continues to nurture it, training like a maniac, and it is only a matter of time before she will cross that finish line and they will say, “Kathy Berlow, you are an Iron-wo-man!”
Please be careful and selective about the seeds you plant in your mind, because whether they be positive or negative, they will grow into reality.
Happy living!
