Question to ask yourself.
I have really developed a love/hate relationship with social media. I love the inspirational content, connecting with friends, seeing what’s happening in other peoples worlds. I don’t like the political division and the confrontational tendencies people have towards one another. The hardest part though, is to hear of loved ones passing on and seeing their pain and grief. I wish there was more to be done to make them feel better and it seems to be happening often lately.
This got me thinking of my training and how during morning meditation I was asked to reflect on, “If today is to be my last day on earth, how do I choose to live?” I really love this question because it hold me accountable to being a better husband, father, brother, leader, friend, mentor, student and whatever role I have to fulfill. Most importantly, it puts in the forefront of my mind that life is short and I must embrace as much of it as I can. This is a question I play over and over in my head throughout the day.
For those who have lost someone recently, my heart goes out to you and I do believe the best way to honor them is to live each day like it is the last day on earth.
