I will admit, sometimes I struggle with my training. My body does not respond like it used to. Anyone else feel that?
Last week I was training and both of my mentors discussed with me how some days you feel great and training goes well, and some days not. The key is that you don’t stop and then you will have more of the good days than not.
While I was training with Grandmaster Lee, I was having difficulty on a particular technique. As a result of my inability to execute as I wished, we had a small talk on how some days we feel good, some not so good but the key is we have to keep going.
Later on in the same day, I asked a question to Grandmaster Kim regarding meditation and would you believe, he said they same exact message. Some days meditation training is easy, some days not, but we have to keep going.
Aside from being blessed by their mentorship, these lessons really keep me going and I am grateful for their mentorship. I also see a complete parallel in other areas of life and perfectly lined up to last weeks message, “What you put into your training is what you get out of it”.
This week, the message is consistency. The ability to accept the good days and the challenging ones because they are stepping stones to growth. What are our other options, to give up? That’s not going to happen.
I hope everyone appreciates the message and could look past struggles to push forward and achieve your goals, whatever they may be.
Happy living!
