Recently I was talking to some of my Empowered Mastery clients and the topic of “Not-Acceptable’s” came up. Now, I am forever trying to keep things positive and upbeat, on the surface the idea of “Not-Acceptable’s” may seem like it is coming from a negative place. Actually, it’s quite the opposite. The term, “Not-acceptable” refers to the standards that you commit yourself to uphold. What are the “Not-Acceptable’s” you are willing to hold yourself to. For one of my client it was “Not-acceptable” that they did not exercise everyday. Another client’s “Not-acceptable” was to not be home for dinner three nights a week. For me, it is not acceptable to not practice my morning meditation and not acceptable to “not” train everyday. I have “Not-acceptable’s” when it comes to eating. For business, it’s not acceptable for the front stage of my martial arts schools to “not” be tour ready. Of course, the “Not-acceptable’s” dependent solely on yourself is much easier to uphold than if you depend on others. This leads to the topic of articulating your “Not-Acceptable’s” in a positive and effective way. That topic is for another day. For now, think about what your “Not-Acceptable’s” or what are the ones you want to add. Just curious, what are some “Not-Acceptable’s” that you currently hold yourself to.
