True Happiness

I believed that I’ve shared this before, but one of the greatest feelings is to see your children succeed and be happy. This past weekend, Kathy and I spent the weekend to see our oldest son Brandon. He has just moved out to the San Diego area in the beginning of January.

Brandon has had his ups and downs and found himself stuck living at home in NY. He went to San Diego on a vacation, fell in love with the area, found a job, an apartment, and in just over a month later drove cross country to start a new life. So far, he is excelling at his work, meeting a ton of new people, and most of all, he is enjoying life.

While we were out there, I asked if he was happy and he said yes! This was huge because I’ve never seen him in such a good place. So much so Kathy was crying because she was so happy he was so happy.

Today is his 28th birthday and Kathy was convinced that when he turns 28, he will have his life in order. And as always, she was right.

Happy birthday to our oldest son Brandon! Love you very much and super happy for your happiness. Also, can’t wait to spend a week out in San Diego so I could learn how to surf…I want to go to surf camp!

For those parents who are struggling with your kids…be patient and stand by them. This is proof that they will find their way.
