How do you treat servers?
I believe you could tell a lot about a person on how they treat servers at restaurants. I was out for dinner with Kathy and we noticed a couple that was giving a waitress a hard time. for a quick moment, we thought it was part of the, “What would you do” show. There was a mistake with the meal and the customer was talking down upon the woman who was clearly trying her best. We actually gave an extra tip when we left so she hopefully knew that her work and service was appreciated.
Personally, I feel sorry for people like that. I mean, how difficult their life must be to need to make someone else feel bad. Kathy and I do our best to show extra appreciation for anyone who helps us, always. The fact is, everyone is working hard, and these days with the labor shortage, harder than most. It is really important to give everyone the benefit of the doubt if there is a mistake. In reality, if a waiter or waitress messes up your order, is it the end of the world? I don’t think so. From some of the places I’ve visited, having a meal is a gift let alone a meal at a restaurant. Be kind….it goes a long way.
