Forgiveness

We must learn to self-forgive.

I don’t know about you, but I demand a lot from myself. Everyday I have a plan to wake up, meditate, stretch, read, have tea, hike and Taekwondo before I go about my day. I also throw in some mountain biking for fun. When I miss something, I get a little disappointed in myself. I wouldn’t say I beat myself up, but it is a bit frustrating.

I just realized, after hearing it for many years from my mentors, that each day is a new day and an opportunity to get it right. I know it’s simple, but very powerful. Now, if I miss an item on my daily routine, I know the next day I have a fresh start to make it happen. I have decided to “forgive” myself if I didn’t get everything done I intended. Today is day two of my epiphany, and I am happy to say I am two for two for the week! Ahhhh, the life of a Taekwondo Grandmaster.
