I Don’t Know About You But

I don’t know about you but I’ve had my share of challenges. I’ve had financial challenges to the point where my wife and I didn’t know how we were going to feed our family. I’ve had health challenges where I didn’t know if my body would allow me to do what I wanted or needed it to do. Without going into the severity of the challenges, I would like to share what I did to make it through.

First is I never considered it to be a problem, it was a challenge. For me, it made a world of difference. If there is a problem, I want to run away; if there is a challenge, I want to run to it.

Second; no matter how intense it was, I still found time to do what I love. This served as a mini respite away from the challenge and gave me an opportunity to reflect on what’s going right.

Third; even when things are not looking so good, I made the conscious choice to count my blessings and note what I am grateful for.

Last, I kept my eye on the long term goal and objective and kept injecting that vision into my sub-conscious. I would start my day by writing down,” I am so happy and grateful now that…..”

There you have it; a little wisdom for anyone going through any challenges. Have faith and keep powering through!
