If there is one thing I have learned in business and in life is to genuinely care about others. This is especially important when you are in any kind of service business. Why, because the truth always comes out. I was doing a construction job at a salesman’s house many years ago and he was working from home as I was doing the work. He was talking so sincerely and nice to the individual and as soon as he hung up the phone, he says, “I can’t stand that bastard”. I was shocked and sickened! This behavior went against every thread of my being and I couldn’t even believe these kind of people even exist. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
I would never operate my business in that manner. I believe UMAC, United Martial Arts Centers) schools are successful because we genuinely care about our student’s success and they know that. That is why they continue to come to classes. At Empowered Mastery, every client Paul Melella or I work with knows that their success is our success and we are 100% committed to helping them. Why, because we sincerely and genuinely care. When you genuinely care about your clients, they will continue to do business with you creating live long relationships. When your clients are happy, you should be happy. When they are sad, you should feel sad. Be there for them and they will always be there for you as long as you genuinely care.
