Growing up and training in Taekwondo and being an elite competitor was amongst the greatest experiences of my life. You had to train very hard to gain the skills to be a winner. The training was vigorous and challenging and had to be done in order to be competitive at the elite level. Every training you had to dig down deep and fight within yourself to not give up because it was hard, really hard. The fight starts in your mind way before you ever get into a ring. Now, you don’t need to be a national level Taekwondo competitor to be a fighter.
It’s the same with anything whether the martial arts, business, relationships, hobbies or anything that is worth fighting for. It doesn’t matter, the fight starts when you make the decision to do something and follow through. You need to fight all the negative voices in your head; self-doubt, fear, anxiety, complacency, laziness, other’s limitations on you and more. A fighter is relentless and will squash any and every limiting thought or belief that holds them back. It takes diligence and persistence but when you counter the negative thoughts with a strong empowering belief, nothing will hold you back and your success is limitless. Winning starts in your mind way before anything else. The question is, are you a fighter or not? Choose to be a fighter and win in life!
