Do you remember the old days where you would take a picture and have to wait to see how it came out after it was developed? What about the idea of the Polaroid, where you could see the picture within minutes? It was amazing. Now, with the digital error where you take the pictures on your smart phone; not even your camera and it is instantly available. Technology is really cool. With that said, photography has changed dramatically but it has not changed the fact that you still have to point the camera at the target and shoot the picture. You take the moment to capture the image and you move on to the next moment of interest.
What has changed is what happens after the picture is taken. With the age of Social Media and images flying through cyber space at the speed of light, it is a whole new
era. For me, it is a huge concern that so many people are missing magical moments because they are spending time uploading the photo’s to Social Media. How many times have you seen a picture snapped followed by a 15 second gap of staring at the phone and waiting for it to upload. What about the time after seeing if anyone liked, tagged, or whatever happens with the photo. The unfortunate thing is that the follow up moments may be even more memorable than the picture you took and you missed it because you were fumbling with the phone. Has that happened to you?
Solution: What we would highly recommend is to take the pictures at will and upload them later. Slow down on getting them to the Social Media world and let the moments sink in. Remember, we think in images and the image that is snapped in our mind could be more clear, more vivid, more life like and will last forever. A lot better than the small reminder photo of a moment that you probably have missed
because you were too busy uploading the image.
At Empowered Mastery we urge our clients to be present with their family and friends. To create those memorable moments that will last a life time not only for you, but for your loved ones as well. Please take as many pictures as possible, but share them a little bit later so wherever you are and whoever you are with has 100% of you and there will be a lasting imprint in your mind that will last until the
end of your days.
