How easy is it to show appreciation? If so, what are the best ways to show it? Maybe there isn’t a best way after all. Maybe, the best way to show it is to simply show it. When one is appreciated, they feel respected and when they are respected, they feel appreciated. In the martial arts, we show appreciation when we bow and say “Thank you sir!” or “Thank you ma’am”. Basically, appreciation is threaded in everything we do and that is exactly how it should be in business. Too many times we accomplish something with our team and already on to the next thing.
I too fall into this trap and am working hard to fix it. When your staff or anyone you care about feels appreciated, they will go above and beyond to help you. The great part is it doesn’t need to be big or substantial to show appreciation, just need to do it. In the martial arts and partner drills, without the partner there would be no training. In business without a team nothing would get done. Without your clients, there would be no business. Being grateful and showing appreciation will help you develop raving fans and I am sure we all want that. What are you going to do today to show appreciation?
